Active armor addition.
One day, long time ago, in a time even befor the searing, there was an armor piece that was so magical, that people said it could rival any magic. This item has been lost in the tombes of Sardilac Sanitarium, legends speak this armor could only be obtained from Palawa Joko when he was still alive..
Nobody knows where he live(s/d) tho; Untill recently, a document has been found by Horace, who was harvesting the underworld in a more agressive manner, Go and speak with him, and speak with necromancer Munne what this document may mean...
To complete this quest there needs to be atleast 1 under lvl10 player on your team. If this lvl10 player dies during the quest your party fails and you are returned to the outpost.
(all party members that complete this quest, receive this ancient magical armor upgrade)

Yeh ok, but what does it do?
I guess it could be +10 armor against all elements or something. Non stackable though as it would make PvE 10x easier than it already is

Whats the story behind needing a player under level 10? There should be a reason to explain that, otherwise its just stupid.

Horace? Sardelac Sanitarium? Magic armor?
No, I don't think wearing a bowl of pudding on your head really counts as a magic armor to rival any other... but then, I'm not insane, what do I know.
Where's my pudding?

Well i was just pondering how GW1 might evolve if GW2 is there, and perhaps tie in parts for longer time players. Give perhaps a GW1 intro to GW2 by going back to the starter area of prophecies campain...
The mission requirement was just to add in an extra challenge for experienced players and to bring new players and older players together.
Perhaps a sort of Send em off 250 y into the future mission ? Or a go back 250y in the past on the other side... And what happens during those 250y... and what happened further in the past?
And if you dont know which mythical items i speak of, i must say no more :x

Well this game thrives on expansions, so any realy new players in GW2 might want to know what happened in the past, why not give them a teaser...

I think that suggestion is more suited in a party item thread, perhaps add it to the Zaishen reward list

If it is a new armor skin you are talking about, sure, as most of us would love more options for armor. However, Anet has said it takes a LOT of resources to put armor into the game, and they certainly don't have people to do it. If they did add more armor, I'd like them to even out the options for each class. Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, and Paragon get fewer options than the core classes, and not even all the core classes get the same number.
If, however, you mean a new type of armor, then ABSOLUTELY NOT. Max armor with insignias and runes is a game mechanic that you can't mess with unless you want to lose any chance of balance. Providing more protection or mods, or anything of that sort is a bad idea.
New content is awesome, but Anet won't put money into paying people to make it. They are doing bug fixes and skill balances, and even that is not always done as fast as they want to. The game is on its last leg, so enjoy it while it is still around, but don't expect Anet to put more into it.

Well, gw2 is comming up and i understand ANet is going for small expansions, in a totally new game format; but what about the old GW1, and expansions for this game. or later expansions for GW2 (if need be) ... like i mentioned if you sell expansions you also want ppl to buy older expansions, and or benefit from having these. Tieing the game further together seems like a good strategy to examine...
Unsure asto time/money issues with ANet, with GW2 currently underway. But idd be willing to pay for a small expansion, given it opens up GW1 more, and by opening up i mean take advantage of what is allready there and perhaps turn GW1 into a GW2-pre_beta. And with this i mean test (if need be again) if certain skills/items/uses/features should be implemented in GW2 expansions.. Or test the social/game-mechanics of cooked up plans for GW2 in GW1..
Im usure asto coding, but the item(s) i speak of existed even befor the beta saw light, as they were in the beta. So if GW beta and GW1 are alike in code, alot of the coding might be a backup polish.
An "Off we go" exansion for GW1 so to speak.. ..true that this was EotN, but the ending was rather abrupt and given the story picks up in the future, and as a long time player i would like to atleast make the step from 1 to 2 make sence in some shape or form. One thing that could atleast take place in GW1 is relive the story and or Come back to where it all started so the circle is complete and gives 'access' to further storyline / game developement in the future.
Perhaps this could be part of a Campain Collectors Edition.. as EotN was available for every campain, the story of GW2 can start off in GW1, with a new or intermetso story arc.
I dont know about you, but im allready dreaming of the next major GW2 expansion ("throught the mists", where maybe other forms of pvp can return from GW1 in the new code) and smaller expansions can also go back in time (lore wise) to call upon the help of Hero's to solve problems that arose in between the time periode of GW1 and GW2 .. or any other mutually/beneficiairy reasons to shell out cash to support new developement of a game that is free of a monthly fee
